Thursday Express July 31, 2014 - Glorietta Malls, Ayala Ave. Makati City
We had our late lunch at Dekada - Historic Filipino Cuisine after a short facility demo from work. We rode the free guest shuttle service from St. Luke’s to Ayala even though associates were not allowed to do so.
The restaurant offers delicious Filipino dishes and desserts that will make you miss the best cook from your family, may it be your uncle, aunt, mom or your dad. The place was light to the eyes with accents of old furnitures, frames and even cameras and typewriters too! We finished our lunch in an hour but we had to hurry to the grocery because we don’t want to get stuck in rush hour traffic.
We did our grocery at Rustan’s Supermarket. We bought ingredients for baking. We also bought a huge pineapple which I had to put inside my backpack for convenience. After paying for the groceries we cannot resist but to eat some pastries from Eric Kayser even though we’re still full from what we had from lunch. Worth every single centavo!
Passed by Happy Lemon to buy our favorite drinks before we lined up at the terminal for the shuttle going to Las Piñas. We had a great time even we’re in a hurry. We still had our dinner as soon as we got home. We love to eat that much.
I gave her a camera so we can enjoy doing things together even better. I want her to understand how fulfilling it is to take photos. To create images the way we want it to be and share the emotions within to others. In this sense she will understand how photography completes me.
Kuppa - Roastery and Cafe June 13, 2014 Bonifacio Global City
Lunch with Janelle Anne in this lovely cafe. We’ve been curious to try since we always manage to walk by it whenever we take the BGC bus. Both on our way home and before going to the hospital where we both work. It didn’t disappoint us, in fact if we have the luxury of time we’d be back for more.
Exactly a week ago, Gyno asked me to go with him and Anica to a meet-up in Manila. I tried to keep that in mind but of course I forgot that already. Yes, I forget easily. So the night before, I had no clue until he reminded me about it. He was the one who made our itinerary. We planned to meet at SDA around 1pm. I was there 12:30pm and I tried calling him just to ask where he is but to my surprise, my call apparently woke him up. He was still in a beauty rest while I’m getting sunburn on my way to our meeting place.
I didn’t want to be alone for a long time so I tried calling some of my friends around the vicinity and I am lucky to have Margot. She went down from her office just to have coffee with me.
So I went in to meet Anica and Gyno around 3:30 pm and we arrived at the Chinese Garden past 4:00pm. I stumbled upon familiar faces. I was really happy that everyone is gaining weight! At least I’m not alone, right?
